This year I decided that I wanted to start some new traditions as a family! So I came up with two ideas. The first one you will get to hear about now, and the second you will just have to wait for (I gotta keep some suspense in here...hehehe). Christmas eve we will start our first tradition and that is to start reading the Story of Jesus's birth, drink hot cocoa, and eat cookies while daddy reads it. So My parents, and Dave came over from my side of the family. And then AJ's parents came over from his side of the family. We had a wonderful dinner together of a lamp pot pie. And it was very very delish!! And then AJ's mom made AMAZING cookies that were so cute and even had everyones name on a little cookie stocking. So cute and creative!! I think this is a good idea to start but my idea of Rylee sitting there eating a cookie and listening to Daddy read a story didn't quit play out the way I thought it would. But it was still fun to be with family, and I still like that it is a new tradition that we can continue as our family grows.
