Yay for snow days!! I love snow so much!!! Just looking at it makes me happy =)
One day I was talking with one of my wonderful friends Alexis about doing a fun snow day on the mountain together. We both have one girl each, and our girls have become the best of friends in there 3 1/2ish years of life. Pretty cute... I know.
I thought it would be fun to let the girls play together in the snow and then I also thought we could take family photos for each other for Christmas.
Off we went! The adventure began by borrowing a van from our friend. She was so wonderful to let us borrow her car while she was stranded at home all day. This way we were all able to ride up to the mountain as our 2 families in one car.

After we were all ready to head to the mountain our first stop was Starbucks of course! I don't think it even makes sense to go to somewhere cold with out something warm to drink.

Once we got to the mountain we had to get some lunch. This ended up being a HUGE adventure if you want to call it that. There are 2 buildings at the mountain we were at. We started in one building and did not see a nice sit down area to eat. So then we worked our way to the other building. We sat down and then realized they did not serve food for another 2 hours. Uggg. So then we went to another part of that building and saw a nice buffet lunch. Looked really yummy but seemed $$$. The host told us that we could get a cheaper lunch at the other building. So we bundled up again and went back to the original building we started in and had lunch there. It only turned out to be a few dollars cheaper. So that was kind of a bummer because we could have had a wonderful lunch with a more beautiful setting if we would have stayed. And it was kinda my idea to leave....oooops. Oh well, live and learn. And now we know for next time that we will eat at the buffet.

Anyways back to our fun day. After lunch we set out to take pics. It was really fun to see Rylee all bundled up and excited to play in the snow. She looked adorable and kind of reminded me of "The Christmas Story" and how the little boy was bundled really well. Cute stuff for sure.
Another fun fact is that Rylee LOVES to eat snow! I remember doing that as a kid so I don't think it is to bad for you. Emma did not seem to want to eat any snow. No biggie, and that is one thing that I love watching with Rylee and Emma's relationship. They are about as opposite as you get. But they look past that and always have fun together.
We got lots of good pics of the girls and each others families. Rylee had tons of fun until her hands got super cold and I am pretty sure the rest of her felt pretty cold too. So we headed in with a crying Rylee :(
Once we all had a chance to warm up by the fire our wonderful husbands went and got the car for all of us girls. That way we did not have to bundle the girls up like crazy and we could head home a little quicker since the girls seemed kinda tired.
The day was a success I would say!
We all had fun and got lots of great photos to remember it by.
( This last one is one of my favorites. It looks like Rylee is telling Emma a secret. So sweet!)
