Engagement party

My best friend of over 20 years is getting married! YAY!!! I can hear you all clapping as you read this. I am just over the moon with excitement for her! She has been so excited for this day to come for a long time. And the wait has been well worth it!! She is engaged to an amazing guy. He loves her in a way a man should love his bride. And she has yet to have a guy love her that way. He treats her so good. As her best friend it has always been important to me to make sure she is with a guy who treats her with what her value is worth... a million dollars for sure. So with out further ado here are some photos of her engagement party!

This was the most beautiful party I have ever been too!! Her Aunt Sandy put it all together and it was breath taking. She had told me she wanted to do a shabby chic theme. In my opinion she did it perfectly.

{The beautiful barn door}

{Sandy made personalized menu place settings}

{Party favors that were filled with wild flowers}

 {Totally shabby}

{Beautiful antique lace hanging from the rafters}

{Here are some of the Chic touches}

{More Chic}

{Everyone enjoying looking at the beautiful place settings}

{More Shabby}

{The Groom}

{The Bride}

{We sat in the barn on bails of hay}

{I was so in awe of all the beauty around us}

{Beautiful table decorations}

{Fresh flowers in mason jars}

{Candles to set the mood}

{Enjoying conversation in such a beautiful and intimate place}

{Getting ready to eat}

{Sandy even decorated the wine bottles. She did not miss anything. It was all B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L}

{The bride and groom}

{He looks so smitten with her}

{Cheers to a beautiful couple}

So of course I have to brag about the desserts that I made for the party. I wanted to make something really cute and special!! I would have loved to have gotten a beautiful dessert from JaCivas because that is the ultimate dessert spot in Portland. But I also wanted it make it so that it would be extra special.
So I opted to make it.
 Here is what I did....

{Lemon curd tartlets}

{Strawberries and creme tartlets}

{Peanut butter and candy tartlets}

And last but not least here is one more photo of the bride and groom. My prayer for them is that they enjoy and soak up this season they are in! Engagement is such a special time that does not last to long in the span of sharing a lifetime together. So I pray that they soak up all the moments and memories. And I pray that God's love pours into their relationship as they head into marriage.
 And that God blesses them with a lifetime of life, love, and laughter!

I love you both so much!! XOXOXO
