Today I was at the park with Aj and Rylee. We don't live in the "nicest" of neighborhoods. So a lot of times when we go to the park I see things that make me sad, mad, and cringe. But today was a HOT day and Daddy got off work early. I personally think that means a perfect day for the park!! We have a park pretty close to our house that has a splash pad (holla)!! I LOVE that we have one close to us. Rylee does not like them as much as I do....but I think (or I am hoping) that she will learn to love it like her mama does.
Well today some of the things I saw at first made me SOOOO mad!! I don't think I will explain what I saw. But it was totally not ok in my book! After my anger cooled off (with the help of the splash pad...hehehe) I started to feel sad. I was thinking so many people here need to hear about the love of Jesus. But HOW do I do it??? I was pretty baffled by this. I think it is pretty hard to minister to people when you know you will most likely only see them this one time. How do you make an impact of Jesus on them? How do you show love when you are cringing at what you see them doing? This is TOUGH stuff for sure!! So while Aj and Rylee were playing on the swings and the slides I decided to dry off from being soaked. As I was sitting and watching I was talking to God. I was asking him all these questions?? And I feel like I got the BEST IDEA EVER from him (Holla!!)!!!
These people I saw today are hurting and lost for sure! I can see it in their eyes and in their lives right before me. So the idea he gave me is to come back to that park with Popsicles and offer them out for free and then offer prayer too!! BRILLIANT YES??!!
So I am pretty excited to say the least!!! I totally feel like this was a God idea. And I LOVE that part right there. Any ideas I get from him I get pretty excited about! And I love the idea of taking Rylee with me and having us hand these out together and just blessing the people around us. So I am not sure when this summer we will do this? And who knows maybe we will do this a few times?? But I think it will be great to bless them with something little (a Popsicle) and something BIG (Jesus).
I will keep you posted when we do this and how it goes. I would love prayer that God will open the doors at the right time to do it. And that people will be open to receiving prayer.
Thanks!! And thanks for reading my blog!!
It means a lot that you take time to hear my thoughts and my heart =)

Amy,
That sounds like an awesome idea. There are so many who are hurting in this world and many times just a little act of kindness (giving away popcycles) can open their hearts and put a crack in the wall. I pray that God will open many doors for you and that He will move through you to touch the lives of the people around you.
